We are going on a field trip!

To the Hispanic Flamenco Ballet and to Fiesta Mexico Restaurant in Harrisburg on November 20th. The cost is $37 per student (it includes tickets, lunch, and transportation). Please pay by check to EASD or by cash by 10/27.

Field trip for Spanish IV
Hola, we are going on a field trip on November 20th to the Hispanic Flamenco Ballet! We will see dance performances and go out to eat at Fiesta Mexico Restaurant in Harrisburg.

New unit for Spanish IV
Hola, we are starting our communications unit. We will expand our writing abilities, and we will learn common expressions and vocabulary to help us communicate better. We will learn how to form and use the passive voice (please see the grammar section of this website for a brief explanation), and we will work on multiple projects: pen pals (first one due 9/25), mistery story (due 10/27), and karaoke (due 10/14).

Autobiographies (15-18 sentences in Spanish, includes a picture of you) are due Monday 9/8, be ready to present them in front of class.

What you need to review from Spanish III
You need to review the tenses you have learned up until now (the present, the preterit, the imperfect, the future, the conditional, the subjunctive (present and imperfect).

You also need to review the vocabulary from Spanish II and III (the packet I gave you and using your flash cards).

You need to pay special attention to the subjunctive and when to use it.

You need to review the use of "por" vs. "para", and also the direct and indirect-object pronouns (lo, las, los, las, le, les)
